EurActive: The Juncker team revealed

Although president-elect Jean-Claude Juncker is still interviewing candidates for Commissioners, EurActiv has seen a draft organigram prepared by his services and dated 2 September, in which every single commissioner is assigned a portfolio.

The document is clearly not a final version and subject to change. But the document speaks for itself and is full of surprises:

  • the internal market portfolio, currently held by Michel Barnier, has disappeared;
  • the Digital Agenda portfolio, currently held by Neelie Kroes, is replaced by a Vice Pesident position for ‘culture and internet’;
  • there is no commissioner for enlargement;
  • a new post of Vice President for ‘Better regulation’ has appeared;
  • a new post for Vice President for Energy Union has appeared (in addition to the commissioner for energy/climate);
  • a Vice President for Growth, Economic and Monetary Union, European Semester & Social dialogue has appeared;

Zeitfenster Weimar. Wege in die Moderne – eine mobile App

Zeitreise WeimarWeimarer Schüler/-innen haben einen Medienguide entwickelt, der Nutzern/-innen eine multimediale Zeitreise durch das Weimar der Jahrhundertwende um 1900 ermöglicht. Die App entstand im Rahmen eines Bildungsprojektes der Klassik Stiftung Weimar in Kooperation mit der bpb.

Der Medienguide ist ab sofort als kostenfreie App für iOS und Android Smartphones sowie Tablets verfügbar.

OECD publication on Measuring Innovation in Education

OECD Measuring Innovation in EducationThe new study elaborates on the ability to assess how innovative are our education and training systems and releases international comparative information collected from 1999 to 2011 on learning settings, pedagogical tools, etc. The publication also proposes new methods and approaches to measure innovation in education and showcases 200 concrete measures.

EUNET Youth Committee meeting

The next meeting of the Youth Committee (YC) of EUNET will take place from

September 12th to 14th 2014
at Europäische Akademie Otzenhausen (Germany)

The meeting will start on Friday at 16h and will end on Sunday after lunch.

If you want to take part in the meeting your organisation has to be a member of EUNET, or has the intention to become one, and you have to be younger than 36 years old – that’s why we call it Youth Committee.

Die Creative Commons Lizenzen sind in Deutschland der Standard für Bildungsmaterialien unter freier Lizenz. Die CC-Lizenzen sind einfach zu verstehen und anzuwenden – eigentlich. Auf den zweiten und dritten Blick ergeben sich viele Fragen, die oft nicht nur mit Creative Commons, sondern mit dem Urheberrecht und anderen juristischen Grundlagen zu tun haben.

Bei der ersten CC-Lizenztextlesung können alle Fragen rund um die freien Lizenzen gestellt werden. Zwei kompetenten Juristen beantworten sie. Wir lesen die Lizenzen vor, Absatz für Absatz – und zwar den entscheidenden Legalcode. Immer wenn jemand aus dem Publikum etwas nicht versteht oder eine Nachfrage hat, sagt er / sie das. Dann müssen die Juristen die Frage klären.

Die Veranstaltung wird auf pb21.de als Livestream übertragen. Kommentare und Fragen können über einen Textchat und Twitter eingebracht. Als Hashtag nutzen wir #lizenztextlesung.
