Rhodes Model Regional Co-operation 2014 – early bird rates

RhodesMRC follows the practice of Model United Nations and simulation conferences. Being academically innovative and challenging, our Model is dedicated to Regional Co-operation.

RhodesMRC_logo2014During its four years of run, RhodesMRC has provided the academic community with unique simulations of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe, the Union for the Mediterranean, the Black Sea Economic Co-operation Organization and the Council of Europe. More than 230 people from 14 countries have participated to RhodesMRC till now, contributing to its advancement while sharing the experience of diplomatic procedure and unique moments of fun, with various side events including excursions, lectures, even special simulation events, like the Council of Elrond.

Join us in Rhodes, October 22-26, 2014 and we will welcome you to a most colourful experience!

Call for Applications: Scholarship “Shaping Europe – Civic Education in Action”

A scholarship program for professionals active in Citizenship Education from Central and Southeastern Europe

bpbThe German Federal Agency for Civic Education (bpb) and the Robert Bosch Stiftung are awarding up to 16 scholarships to active professionals from Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, the Czech Republic, Greece, Estonia, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, and Turkey.
We are looking for people at the beginning of their professional careers who wish to be active internationally. We expect applicants to already be actively promoting democracy and social responsibility in their own countries and to be engaged in civic education.

We offer participants the opportunity to become an intern in a German institution active in civic education matters. Additionally they will participate in the network of European political education.

The working language in the program is German.

Project “Added value Europe – added value peace”: dates and programmes for national seminars

Mehrwert Europa - Mehrwert FriedenThe dates and most of the programmes for the six national seminars are now available. The seminars are part of the project “Added value Europe – added value peace”, a project of six EUNET members and two external partners financed by a project grant from the Europe for Citizens programme. Call for partners: Sound it out! – International Girls Camp on music and gender equality

logo_sonnenbergSonnenberg Kreis e.V. is looking for partner organisations to complete the partner constellation for the International youth meeting ‘Sound it out!’ to be held at International House Sonnenberg (Germany) in August 2014.
The youth meeting is to be implemented within the Erasmus+ Program.

Project idea
50 girls from 6 countries meet in the Harz Mountains to talk and discuss about gender equality, female roles and chlichés in the participating countries and Europe. Starting point will be music and the examination of females in popular culture and music (as musicians, producers, promoters and subjects of lyrics..).

The project addresses girls with and without disabilities between 16 and 21.

We are looking for 8 participants + 1 group leader from each partner country. We already found organisations from Croatia, Germany, Turkey and Great Britain.
