Programme Guide of the Europe for Citizens Programme 2014-2020

Europe for Citizens 2014Following the adoption of the Europe for Citizens Programme 2014-2020 the new Europe for Citizens Programme Guide has been published in the 23 working languages of the European Union.

Please be aware that for 2014 the first deadline for the submission of project proposals had to be postponed and will be the 4th June 2014 for projects on European remembrance (strand 1) and for town-twinning projects and networks of towns (strand 2).

The second deadline will be the 1 September 2014 covering town-twinning, networks of towns and civil society projects.

Call for proposal – projects on exclusion then – and now

efp_webbanner_en_2014In its EUROPEANS FOR PEACE programme, Foundation EVZ invites school and youth groups to apply in international partnerships with a school and/or non-school institution for funding of a jointly developed project proposal.
The programme aims to strengthen historical awareness and support the active commitment of young people for human rights and international understanding.

The theme for 2013-14 is “Watch Out: Discrimination! Projects on Exclusion Then and Now”, and projects can choose a historical, contemporary, or combined approach.

Applications are submitted by schools and/or institutions engaged in extra-curricular education. The project participants are young people between the ages of 14 and 21 (not university or college students). The projects will be implemented in the period between July 2014 and July 2015. Binational or trinational projects can be funded; at least one partner must be from Germany and at least one from Central, Eastern or South-Eastern Europe or from Israel.

Youth in Action – Action 4.5 – Support to information activities for young people and those active in youth work and youth organisations

The purpose of this call for proposals is to support projects which promote information and communication actions with a European dimension that are aimed at young people and youth leaders, in the context of the European Year of Citizens and the perspective of elections to the European Parliament in 2014.

The projects will aim in the long term to encourage the participation of young people in public life and to facilitate the achievement of their potential as active, responsible European citizens.

Deadline for submission of applications: 27 June 2013
Projects must start between 1 November 2013 and 31 December 2013
Duration: minimum 9 months and maximum 15 months

The call works for national projects.
