Call for participants: RhodesMRC 2015

RhodesMRC 2015Rhodes Model Regional Co-operation is an academic simulation conference dedicated to regional international organizations, held every October in Rhodes, Greece, one of the most famous destinations in Europe. RhodesMRC offers a program full of events, opposite an amazing cultural and historical background!

RhodesMRC follows the practice of Model United Nations. Being academically innovative and challenging, our Model is dedicated to Regional Co-operation. During its four years of run, RhodesMRC has provided the academic community with unique simulations of the Union for the Mediterranean, the Black Sea Economic Co-operation Organization, the Organization for the Security and Co-operation in Europe and the Council of Europe. All of the above, while overseen by a Scientific Committee of esteemed academians from Greece and abroad and carefully prepared by a highly experienced Board.

For five years, more than 400 people from 15 countries have participated to RhodesMRC, contributing to its advancement while sharing the experience of diplomatic procedure and unique moments of fun!

For its 2015 edition, RhodesMRC will host simulations of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe, the Organization of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation and a Middle East Peace Conference at the University Edition and of Council of Europe at the High School Edition!

RhodesMRC 2015 is open to students from all over the world!
The working language of the conference is English.

Training seminar topics will concentrate on Simulations and the latest developments in the field of Mini-LARPs (Live Action Role Plays) – a relatively new and engaging method to activate participants of all age groups. Mini-LARPs puts participants into different scenes and scenarios to trigger empathy for certain political, cultural or social circumstances. It is a concept that focusses on a non-formal and holistic learning experience.

Aktionstage Politische Bildung 2015: Jetzt anmelden!

bpbVom 5. bis 15. Mai 2015 geben die Akteure der politischen Bildung zum elften Mal im Rahmen der Aktionstage Politische Bildung einen Einblick in ihre vielfältige Arbeit. Die Bundeszentrale für politische Bildung/bpb, der Bundesausschuss Politische Bildung (bap), die Deutsche Vereinigung für Politische Bildung e.V. (DVPB) sowie die Landeszentralen für politische Bildung laden alle Akteure der politischen Bildung herzlich ein, die Aktionstage 2015 mitzugestalten.
Anders als in der Vergangenheit, steht in diesem Jahr ein Thema im Fokus der Aktionstage: „Zuwanderung – Flucht – Asyl: Umgang mit Vielfalt in der politischen Bildung“. Inhaltlich wird der Schwerpunkt vom 5. bis 15. Mai auf http://aktionstage-politische-bildung.net redaktionell begleitet. Zudem werden auf der Webseite Veranstaltungen und Veranstalter/-innen vorgestellt, spannende Projekte und Materialien präsentiert. Auch im Rahmen des Parlamentarischen Abends der Politischen Bildung am 21. April 2015 in Berlin stehen Projekte und Initiativen, die zu den Themen Zuwanderung, Flucht und Asyl arbeiten, im Fokus.
Dennoch können auch alle anderen Veranstaltungen für das gesamte Jahr 2015 eingereicht werden.
Die Aktionstage Politische Bildung sind eine Chance für alle, die in der politischen Bildung tätig sind! Sie stellen die praktische Arbeit der Akteure einer bundesweiten und europäischen Öffentlichkeit vor und machen deutlich, dass Demokratie politische Bildung braucht.

Call for participants: Czech-German Young Professionals Program

Our member Europäische Akademie Berlin is partner in the Czech-German Young Professionals Program (CGYPP)

cgypp_logoThe CGYPP is an international network for young professionals from Germany and the Czech Republic. The program links the fields of academia, business, media, public administration and civil society.
Twelve young experts, professionals, multipliers, movers and shakers from Germany and the Czech Republic participate in a series of workshops and collaborate on relevant economic, political and social issues.

The 2015 programme topic is “Great Energy Challenge: in search for sustainability on personal, regional and global level”.

EUNET Youth Committee: Training Course

EUNET Youth CommitteeThe EUNET Youth Committee (YC) has planned for a training weekend from April 9th to 12th 2015 at the Europahaus Marienberg meeting the needs of young professional educators busy in the field of European Youth Education. The YC will organize this training, which will provide new insights into recent educational developments.

Training seminar topics will range from: Simulations, Mini-LARPs (Live Action Role Plays), cultural and artistic education and digital media in education.
Along the lines of debriefing and evaluation we also want to deal with supervision, group motivation, building of confidence, creation of positive learning atmospheres and educational room design.
